Pods, lights & battery
My pod won't wake up or turns off by itself
Pods sleep after 5 minutes with no movement and no connection, and wake when you move them. If one stays dark, plug it into USB.
Pods have no on/off button. They turn themselves off to save battery and wake up again when you move them.
When does a pod go to sleep?
A pod goes to sleep when all of these are true:
- it is not connected to the app,
- it has not moved for 5 minutes,
- it is not plugged into USB.
Before it sleeps, it flashes red twice. A pod on the charger or connected to the app never sleeps.
How do I wake it?
- Pick it up and move or shake it.
- Look for a short blue blink every 2 seconds. That means it is awake and ready.
We are still testing wake-on-movement on the beta pods. If a pod doesn't wake:
- Plug it into a USB-C cable for a few seconds. This always wakes it.
- Unplug it and watch for the blue blink.
- Still nothing? Charge it fully. The battery may be empty.
- Last resort: press the small reset button through the hole in the lid with a straightened paper clip.
My pod wakes up on its own
A bump on a table or in a bag can wake a pod. It goes back to sleep after 5 minutes without a connection, so this costs very little battery.
It turned off while I was recording
A connected pod doesn't fall asleep. If it stopped during a recording, the battery was probably empty, or the Bluetooth connection dropped. See My pod disconnected during a session and Charging and battery.
Can I turn it off myself?
Not from the app yet. Leave it still and disconnected and it switches off after 5 minutes.
