Pods, lights & battery
Which pod is which?
Tap Identify (blink) in My pods to make a pod flash, or shake a connected pod for 2 seconds until its card says "That's me!".
All pods look the same. The app gives you two ways to find out which pod is which.
Option 1: Make it blink
- Open My pods and connect the pod.
- Tap Identify (blink).
- The pod double-flashes in its colour for about 4 seconds.
Option 2: Shake it
- Connect the pods in the app.
- Pick up one pod and shake it hard for about 2 seconds.
- Its card in the app shows "That's me!".
Shaking is ignored while you are recording, so a hard run won't confuse it.
Both options need pod software 0.2 or newer. Older pods show the name MotionSensor… in the browser's list and don't support them. Email us and we'll help you update.
Set where you wear it
Once you know which pod is which, set Where you wear it on its card, or tap a spot on the body map. Each spot holds one pod: if you pick a spot that is already taken, the other pod moves to Not placed.
New pods are placed automatically in the next free spot, in this order: pelvis, left shank, right shank, left thigh, right thigh. Change it if that doesn't match.
Colours and nicknames
- The light colour follows the placement: red for left, green for right, blue for the centre. You can't choose your own colour yet.
- You can add a Nickname (optional) of up to 40 characters.
The pod's name
Every pod has a fixed name like RMM-1A2B. The last four characters come from the pod's serial number. That is the name you pick in the browser's Bluetooth list. Two pods can very rarely share a name; the app tells them apart by the full serial.
Tip: a small sticker on the back of each pod with "L", "R" or "P" saves time on race day.
