Pods, lights & battery

How do I charge my pod, and how long does the battery last?

Charge with any USB-C cable, off the body. Battery life per session is still being measured in the beta, so charge fully before each session.

Plug a USB-C cable into the end of the pod. You don't need to open the case or remove anything. Charge it off the strap and off your body.

Charging

  1. Take the pod off its strap.
  2. Plug in any USB-C cable connected to a phone charger or a computer port.
  3. A small charge light by the USB-C port shows that it is charging.
  4. Leave it until charging finishes. The app's quick guide says: charge until the light turns green.

A pod on the charger never goes to sleep, so you can connect to it while it charges to check the battery.

Don't charge a pod while you wear it, and don't leave it charging unattended. See Care and safety.

How long does it last?

Each pod has a 250 mAh battery. We have not measured real battery life yet. We will publish it after beta testing. Until then:

  • Charge every pod fully before each session.
  • Check the battery % in My pods before you start.
  • The app warns you on the Start screen if a pod is below 20 %.

Reading the battery %

The app shows each pod's battery % on its card in My pods. The % is an estimate from the battery voltage:

  • It can be a few percent off.
  • While charging, it reads too high. Unplug the pod and wait a moment for a true reading.
  • It updates about every 30 seconds.

Saving battery

  • Pods turn themselves off after 5 minutes with no movement and no connection. See Sleep and wake.
  • The light stays off while connected.

The battery is old or swollen

Stop using a pod whose battery swells, gets hot or smells. See Replace the battery.
