Honest numbers
A metric is only a feature once it works. Until it has been validated we call it an estimate, and we publish what we learn, including the limits.
About
ReadMyMove started with a simple question: why does seeing how you move still take a lab, a camera rig or a big budget? So we put small motion sensors in 3D-printed cases, strapped them on, and started recording.
Our story
The first prototype was five tiny sensor boards, a handful of batteries and elastic straps around the pelvis, thighs and calves of a runner. It recorded. Then we tried it on dancers, and the rest of the sports list followed.
Today ReadMyMove is a working prototype with a web app that records and charts sessions. We are testing, learning what athletes and coaches really need, and getting ready for production. We are doing it in the open, which is why this site tells you exactly what works now and what is still on the roadmap.
What we stand for
A metric is only a feature once it works. Until it has been validated we call it an estimate, and we publish what we learn, including the limits.
Elastic straps go with any outfit and any body. When your kit changes, your sensors don't have to.
Runners, dancers, fighters, riders: movement is movement. We design the pods to be universal and let the sport decide where they go.
Today your recordings stay in your own browser. Anything we add later, like cloud sync, will be opt-in, exportable and deletable.
