Why is a finding locked or waiting for more data?
Locked means you need pods in other places. Needs more data means the run was too short. Angles also need the 3-second standing pose.
A finding without a number always tells you why. There are three reasons.
1. Locked: more pods needed
Some findings need pods on certain body parts. The app says which, for example:
- "Add pods on both shins to see where your feet land."
The Unlock more card lists what more pods would add next time. See How many pods do I need?
Check also that each pod's Where you wear it is right. A shin pod set as "Not placed" won't unlock shin findings.
2. Needs calibration: stand still first
Angles need the 3-second standing pose at the start:
- "Stand still for 3 s at the start next time to unlock joint angles."
See Why stand still at the start?
3. Needs more data: run a bit longer
- A finding needs at least 20 running strides, about a minute of steady running.
- Form over the run needs at least 2.5 minutes of running.
- Walking strides are not counted as running.
- Big gaps in the signal can also leave too few good strides. See Signal quality.
No Running Form score
The overall score needs at least two findings measured with normal confidence. With one pod, you get steps per minute but no overall score. The label then reads Not enough data.
Not a running activity?
Form insights are built for running so far. Walking and other activities say "Form insights are built for running so far." Dance says "Coming soon". If you saved a run as another type by mistake, change it in the Data tab under Activity type.
