Connecting
Which browsers and devices work?
Chrome or Edge on Windows, macOS, ChromeOS and Android. On iPhone and iPad, use the free Bluefy app. Firefox and Safari can't connect to pods.
The ReadMyMove web app talks to the pods with Web Bluetooth. Only some browsers have it.
Works
| Device | Browser |
|---|---|
| Windows 10 or 11 | Chrome or Edge |
| macOS | Chrome or Edge |
| ChromeOS (Chromebook) | Chrome |
| Android phone or tablet | Chrome or Edge |
| iPhone or iPad | The free Bluefy app. See Using ReadMyMove on iPhone |
Keep your browser up to date.
Doesn't work
- Safari on Mac, iPhone and iPad.
- Firefox on any device.
- Most in-app browsers (for example a link opened inside Instagram or Facebook). Open the link in Chrome instead.
If your browser can't connect, the app tells you:
- On iPhone: "Safari on iPhone can't talk to Bluetooth pods. Open this page in the free Bluefy app, or use Chrome/Edge on a computer or Android phone."
- Elsewhere: "This browser can't talk to Bluetooth pods. Use Chrome or Edge on a computer or Android phone, or the Bluefy app on iPhone."
Linux
Chrome on Linux may need Web Bluetooth switched on. Open chrome://flags, search for "Experimental Web Platform features", enable it and restart Chrome. Linux support is best effort.
Mac permissions
The first time, macOS may ask whether Chrome or Edge can use Bluetooth. Allow it. If you said no, see Bluetooth permission is blocked.
What works without Bluetooth
You can still sign in, look at your synced activities and explore the demo in any modern browser. Only connecting to pods needs Web Bluetooth.
Native apps
iPhone and Android apps that connect on their own are planned. They are not available yet.
